Confidence. Communication. Character
Build confidence communications and performance skills through expert coaching
Fun, structured lessons that prepare students for exams and for life
What is LAMDA?
LAMDA (The London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) is the UK’s oldest speech and drama exam board. Students can take graded exams in the following: Acting, Speaking Verse & Prose, Public Speaking, Musical Theatre and Devising (higher grades only).

UCAS Points (Yes, really)
LAMDA Grades 6, 7 and 8 all carry UCAS tariff points.
Pass, Merit and Distinction all count.
So, your child can earn university points by performing a monologue.
(Not bad for 20 minutes a week on Teams or Zoom).
Find Your Voice. From Wherever You Are.
Live online LAMDA coaching you can do from your dining room, kitchen, sofa or messy bedroom.
Perfect for:
- Home-ed students
- School students needing support
- Anxious learners
- Neurodiverse young people
- Anyone and everyone who wants more confidence
- GCSE/A Level students needing acting support (can be used as part of their coursework)

Why LAMDA?
It’s not just about finding your inner Juliet Stephenson, David Harewood, Ralph Fiennes or Indira Varma, it’s about discovering how to speak with clarity and confidence, how to put across what you want to say honestly and how to communicate under pressure, so you are always fully understood. Of course, these skills matter on stage, but also in interviews, with friendships, presentations, future jobs and…in life in general.
How Online LAMDA Works for Grades 1-8 Exams
- Live sessions via Teams or Zoom
- 1-to-1 or pairs (max of 5 for group coaching, if offered)
- Ages 6–18 (and adult beginners welcome)
- Flexible home-ed daytime slots and after-school sessions
We’ll find the right grade, the right pace and the right pieces for your child – together
Inside a LAMDA Lesson
A typical session includes:
- Breaking down the text
- Developing character
- Examining technique
- Providing an actor’s toolkit
- Giving supportive, detailed feedback
- Making achievable steps forward each week.
- No forced enthusiasm. Be honest. Be real

Why Online Works So Well
Confidence doesn’t need a stage. Many students thrive when:
They’re in their own space (even if it’s a 2×2 box on Teams)
- They feel safe
- They control the volume, lighting, and sensory load
- They don’t feel watched by a whole class
Online lessons give students space to breathe, and the connection still feels real. Many people find their voice for the first time online.
All teachers DBS checked and safeguarding trained

LAMDA Booking …
We work with lots of families who juggle activities, so we can discuss a time slot that suits you. Life happens. If there are medical appointments, illnesses or unexpected wobbles I will always do my best to offer an alternative time. It is a business, but it is also about looking after each other.
…and Payment
Here’s how it works:
- Step 1 – Free taster: Email me to book a relaxed online taster.
- Step 2 – Your weekly slot: I place your child in a regular slot that fits both our schedule.
- Step 3 – Pay for sessions in half-term blocks at the start: Keeps your child’s place secure, lets me plan properly and stops you getting endless tiny invoices. (If your child joins mid-term, you only pay for the remaining weeks).
