Justin Gandey (Former Head Teacher of Sackville School)

Siobhan is an amazing and creative drama teacher with a huge wealth of experience. I have seen the young people she works with flourish and gain new confidence through her classes. She finds the hidden talents of even the most anxious young person and her practice is truly inclusive, supportive and her outcomes remarkable and even life changing. Many former students treasure their memories of the drama workshops and productions she created. As a headteacher I was always immensely proud of what came out of the drama studio. I can wholeheartedly recommend The Curious Theatre Company.

Katie Mitchell (Theatre & Opera Director)

I first met Siobhan in I991 when I cast her in my production of ‘Women of Troy’ at The Gate Theatre, Notting Hill. I subsequently directed her in ‘The House of Bernarda Alba’ also at the Gate, John Arden’s ‘Live Like Pigs’ at the Royal Court and ‘The Phoenician Women’ by Euripides at the RSC. Siobhan was always a joy to work with. I loved her as an actress: she was totally committed to every play, passionate, imaginative, hard-working and a great performer. As a person she is bright, honest, kind, open, fun, very funny and a delight to be around. I only wish we had done more shows together. If I was at secondary school once again, I would hope to be taught by someone like Siobhan.

Phil

Siobhan is an outstanding drama teacher; her excellent coaching led my son to score 98% in his LAMDA grade 8 exam. He proceeded join the National Youth Theatre and subsequently went on to drama school and always speaks very highly of his time working with Siobhan

Lucie

Siobhan was amazing with my ASD son throughout his GCSE Drama, Film Studies and then his A-level Drama. She had to go over things with him multiple times, she was so patient and helped him enormously with his confidence, so he was able to do LAMDA up to grade 8

Jacob

I had Siobhan as my secondary school drama teacher for GCSE and A-Level drama. Her hilarious anecdotes, insightful advice, and irreplaceable guidance have led me to a membership at the National Youth Theatre and onto a BA in Applied and Contemporary Theatre at Guildford School of Acting

Siobhan is a talented and caring teacher. She has the natural ability to bring out any child’s talents and help them to grow. My daughter has developed greatly under her guidance and teaching. She is enthusiastic and passionate about her work and comes highly recommended by myself and my daughter

Vincent

Miss Fogarty was one of the best teachers I had. I always looked forward to drama class as they were fun and enjoyable, and she was enthusiastic all the time. She was always there to help with any problems I had and helped me grow my confidence greatly. Miss Fogarty put her heart and soul into teaching and inspiring people to be creative. Some of the best moments of my teenage years were onstage as part of the plays that she directed in after school drama classes, I loved her version of the musical ‘Our House’ with music from Madness. I learned a lot from miss Fogarty, from script writing to acting techniques and directing a show, I’m very happy to have been one of her students! Thanks to her I am now acting in my own films and doing live music and horror theatre

Beth

Siobhan is a natural teacher. She has a unique ability to devise imaginative, dynamic lessons for her students who will both have fun and learn in her classes. Siobhan was previously my head of department – she guided me through my teacher training with such care and attention, ensuring that I was fully supported, and I learnt a lot from her. She inspired confidence in my ability, just as she does with her students. I often observed Siobhan’s classes – and taught alongside her in a drama youth group she ran so I could see first-hand just how respected she was by her students. It is clear she loves teaching and works tirelessly to create differentiated and interesting lesson plans. She is an excellent tutor who cares about her students’ well-being and education. I cannot recommend highly enough!

Louise

Siobhan is lovely and kind. She has always made my daughter feel very welcome when she first started doing drama and has always given her great advice and support. She always has lots of good ideas and games to play to help the children develop. I would highly recommend Siobhan

Richard

I met Siobhan when she was playing Rotten Rose in the BBC series Maid Marion and her Merry Men quite a few years ago now. She was dynamic, funny and smart then and still is today (that’s why I married her!) She was an imaginative and committed actor and brings those qualities to the classroom as a teacher of both drama and film with years of experience. Her classes are never formal, dull or dry. She gets the best out of people with her infectious enthusiasm and love of life. She invests fully in what she does and will tutor in such a way that will make it both a fun and fulfilling experience. I’ve been an actor for many years, if I was starting out now, I can think of no-one better to teach me drama than Siobhan
